ARE WE SHARING THE WHOLE GOSPEL? (Part 4 of 4)

We are continuing our "gospel check" series looking at four different models to make sure we are believing, living, and sharing the fullness of the gospel! Today, we finish our check with a look at our last model, THE RECONQUEST/RECREATION GOSPEL.

The Reconquest/Recreation Gospel

The second coming

WHAT IT SAYS
“The Gospel is that Jesus came to announce the coming of Kingdom (the perfect reign of God), usher us into it by the forgiveness of our sins, and provide a way for us to participate in it now by the Spirit as we await the time He returns to fully reign on behalf of the Father, at which point He will establish perfect peace for His people."

WHY WE MUST BELIEVE THIS GOSPEL
Whew! That was a big of a mouthful, wasn't it? Maybe I could have found a simpler way to say all that, but on the other hand I think we need to realize that the gospel is a far richer, more beautiful, and more complex thing than many of us have been taught.  We have boiled down the gospel to personal salvation given to us by a personal Savior.  And while salvation is one of the blessings for those who choose to believe the gospel, we need to make sure we are faithfully representing the grandness of what God is doing.

The gospel is not only that Jesus came, but that He is coming again! And when He does, He will make everything new! We will live in a new Heaven on a new Earth in new bodies, enjoying a new creation -- all of this given to us by King Jesus who will finally put to rest all other claims to the Throne and who will dispense justice and judgment to all those who refused reconciliation and remained His enemies.
